This two-act play examines the life of Israel's first monarch, King Saul who was chosen by God but lost divine favor. The ingredients in this play make for intense drama more in line with the ancient Greek tragedies: murder, betrayal, power, depression, fighting, military battles, insecurity, and jealousy.   Discussion follows
